B12

Vitamin B12, also known by its various chemical forms of hydroxocobalamin, methylcobalamin, or cyanocobalamin, is a water-soluble vitamin that is needed for DNA synthesis, red blood cell and nervous tissue development, and energy production through carbohydrate and fat metabolism. Vitamin B12 can also help regulate mood and appetite, key factors associated with overeating. While vitamin B12 is readily found in meat and dairy products, its absorption can be impaired by its lack of availability (as in the case of vegetarians) or in those with various gastrointestinal conditions (i.e. celiac/gluten insensitivity, gastric bypass surgery, Crohn’s disease, etc.). Vitamin B12 deficiencies can manifest as a host of symptoms including mood disturbances, muscle weakness, unsteady gait, vision problems, and even dementia.

Pepcid

Pepcid, or famotidine, is an anti-histamine. It works by blocking the secretion of acid into the stomach. Pepcid is generally well tolerated and can provide hours of relief from indigestion and heartburn. Our healthcare professionals will screen you prior to administering Pepcid so that you can get the maximum benefits while minimizing the risks of adverse effects.

Zofran

Zofran, or ondansetron, is the most commonly used anti-emetic in healthcare. It works by blocking serotonin receptors found in areas of the brain that trigger nausea. Zofran is generally very well tolerated and his highly effective for either treating or preventing nausea. Our healthcare professionals will screen you prior to administering Zofran so that you can get the maximum benefits while minimizing the risks of adverse effects.

Toradol

Toradol, or ketorolac, is the most commonly used intravenous anti-inflammatory in healthcare. During pro-inflammatory states the body releases a class of molecules known as prostaglandins that further increase the body’s inflammatory response. Unfortunately, prostaglandin production also causes pain. By inhibiting the production of prostaglandins, Toradol improves pain and decreases overall inflammation. Toradol can be used to improve symptoms from a host of ailments like migraines, tension headaches, and other generalized, nonspecific pain. Our healthcare professionals will screen you prior to administering Toradol so that you can get the maximum benefits while minimizing the risks of adverse effects.
